2 days gorilla trekking Bwindi trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National park southwest of Uganda, a rainforest and habitat to the endangered Gorilla species. Gorilla trekking is the main activity thou added activities can be included on your trip.
You will be picked up at your hotel or preferred pick-up point at 8:30am by the tour guide of the company who will take you through a brief of the whole trip (2 days gorilla trekking Bwindi) to either Ruhija, Buhoma, Rushaga, or Nkuringo where the habituated Gorilla groups are found in Bwindi National park.
You will travel the whole day expecting to have stopovers at the equator and Igongo culture center. You will have your lunch in Mbarara town and then proceed on your journey.
Accommodation and dinner at either Gorilla safari Lodge, Buhoma safari camp, Gorilla mist camp, Nkuringo Gorilla campsite or Gorilla safari camp depending on the accommodation booked.
You will wake up early in the morning and see a great mist around the Forest, have a breakfast and then wait for our driver guide to pick up at exactly 6:00am.
Our driver guide takes you to the briefing point in the park for briefing on how your day will go, how to trek Gorillas and the whole movement of amazing nature in the forest and be brought to notice about the gorilla tracking guideline. During this moment the guide will ask for your passport to help you register for the Gorilla trip.
The trekking starts at exactly 8:30am after the briefing with a gorilla guide and the help of an armed ranger and a porter for those will prefer on carrying heavy luggage like big camera and bags thou not advised to carry heavy ones during your trek. There is a charge fee to the porter during the trek.
Where the Gorillas are trekked cannot be guaranteed so a movement can still continue to look out for these amazing huge and giant Gorillas. We keep on looking for them depending on where they last fed from or their previous movement. Once Gorillas are spotted one hour is allowed to spend with them and another 1 hour to have your lunch in the forest.
After the successful gorilla trek, you will then return to the park’s headquarters for a gorilla graduation ceremony where you will receive certificates confirming your participation in the Gorilla tracking and then embark on your journey back to Kampala or preferred drop-off destination.
