This 2 Days Murchison falls safari and wildlife tour package takes you through the great Murchison Falls national park; Uganda’s biggest National Park found in the North Western region of Uganda from Kampala the capital city of Uganda.
We wake up quite early for this 2 day trip and depart from Kampala at 6:30 am in order to beat the morning Kampala traffic and catch up with the 1:00 pm Nile ferry crossing in the park after a visit and a memorable and photo taking experience at the Top of the falls.
As per your itinerary, your entitled to an adventurous game drive that takes you through different park trails as you spot different wildlife species like the Jackson’s heart beasts, oribis, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, Kobs, warthogs, elephants, leopards, waterbucks and many more different mammal species.
We shall depart from Kampala at 6:30am and from Entebbe at 6:00am. This will help us drive past Kampala’s busy traffic and head North on the Gulu highway. A few stops in Luwero town to pick some fruits or fueling in Nakasongola or Masindi town. We can also have a bathroom break as the driver fuels up the car.
Head towards the main entrance of the park at Kichumbanyobo through the dense forest of Budongo. Expect to spot many chimpanzees along the road ushering you in Uganda’s biggest Park. As the forest opens up to the open Savannah grassland, we spot many Abyssinian ground horn-bills, buffaloes along the Kabalega falls way and if lucky, some snakes.
We have our lunch at the lodge, relax for half an hr and head for the 2:30 pm boat ride on the Nile River spotting many elephants, buffaloes along the river bank, black and white colombus monkeys, Nile crocodiles on the rock sun bathing as they set their traps and finally the beautiful view of the might Kabalega (murchison) falls.
Return later at 5pm and check into our lodge for dinner and overnight.
We shall wake up after a cup of tea / coffee and head for a morning game drive spotting many giraffes, buffaloes, patas monkeys, antelopes like Oribis, Uganda Kobs, Jackson’s Heartbeasts, lions, leopards, hyenas and many more.
Check out at 11:00 am, drive past the Karuma falls. Lunch at the Kabalega dinners and back to Kampala.
