This 5 Days Gorilla tracking and Queen Elizabeth safari takes you through winding rural areas into the home of endangered mountain gorillas. The safari begins from urban settings to village setting, this tropical rainforest with variety of primate species.
From this forest you will track the shy mountain gorilla families while from the other trails you can go for bird watching, nature walk characterized by a number of birds including Blue Turaco, Black casques hornbills, Black and White Hornbills, Yellow Backed Weavers, Wagtails, Cuckoos, Woodland Kingfishers, Flycatchers, Manikins, community visit is also much amazing, adventure the wild with faunas in the savannah where you can enjoy the boat ride, game drives, Flamingo watching and salt mining among others.
Upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport you will be picked by our guide or company representative, then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in South Western Uganda. Stop over at the Equator for an informative talk as well as some photo shooting and snacks.
Then proceed to Igongo cultural centre or Mbarara town for your en-route lunch at Agip motel or Regency hotel and then proceed through rural countryside of Uganda. En-route view of the beautiful scenery where you can see the triangular peaks of the Virunga volcanoes of Rwanda and the Congo and terraced farming to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park home to half of the endangered mountain gorillas.
Diner and overnight at Gorilla forest camp or Mahogany springs (High end), Engagi lodge or Gorilla Resort (Mid-range end), Buhoma rest camp (Low end). Meal plan: Half-Board.
Early morning cup of coffee, then prepare for the briefing from the Uganda wildlife officials and thereafter enter into the jungle to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour gazing into their big round eyes.
On a gorilla safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as walking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent, sun screen and hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole day depending on the movement of these primates. After this experience you will have informative memorable experience in life. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board.
After your heavy breakfast depart to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the savannah land pass via Ishasha sector and here you will have the opportunity to spot the tree climbing lions and other species en-route. You will enjoy this drive and arrive in evening. Then if time allows you will visit the Katwe salt mining Lake to experience the activity and beautiful view of flamingos as the sun is setting off.
Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Katara lodge (High end), Ihamba Safari Lodge or Simba Safari lodge (Mid-range end) or Mweya safari hostel (Low end). Meal plan: Full-Board.
Early morning breakfast, then dawn game drive to catch up with the early risers and predators. After the drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon you will go for a launch cruise along Kazinga channel.
You will see different animals such as hippos, crocodiles and different water birds along the river bank. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board.
After our full package with the extra-ordinary experiences we embark our safari vehicle back to Kampala. Lunch en-route. Then our guide will drop you to the Airport for your flight. End of services, Meal plan: Half-Board.
