3DAYS MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Have a chance to explore Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area, Murchison falls national park. It is an all round park with various vegetation, animals, birds n mostly the dramatic falls. Here, you will have a chance to see four of the big five that is the buffaloes, elephants, well camouflaged leopards and healthy lions. Other animals include; giraffes, patas monkeys that you only find here and kidepo valley, the Uganda kob and more.

The park has fascinating vegetation like borassus palms, acacia trees and reverine woodland in the north, while woodland and forest patches prevail in the southern part of the park. You will also see various species of birds mostly on the launch cruise on the open water that covers approximately 39000ha. Activities that will be done include; game viewing, chimp tracking, walk to the top of the falls and the launch cruise.
DAY 1
KAMPALA TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK. After your breakfast, you will be picked from your residence or the airport at 7:00am. We shall head to Murchison falls national park through Bombo-Luwero-Nakasongola-Masindi where we shall stop to have lunch. We then proceed to the Kichumbanyobo gate in the south of the park. You will be welcomed by the olive baboons by the roadside as you approach where you will have dinner and spend your night.

DAY 2
GAME DRIVE AND LAUNCH CRUISE. After a cup of tea/coffee, we shall set off to a game drive through the park early in the morning to catch the early animals hunt their prey. Here you will see the Jackson’s hartebeest, warthogs, bushbucks and the Uganda kob as it runs away from the lion and more.
We then return to where you spent the night for your complete breakfast as we wait for lunch. After lunch we shall head to the waters for a launch cruise where you will see the rest of the animals and most of the birds of the park, that include; the largest heron in the world – goliath heron, the elegant crested crane, shoebill stork, African jacana and lots more. We then get to hike up to the top of the falls.
You will then camp at the top of the falls as you see how the waters make a permanent rainbow among the rocks. After this adventure, you will head back to rest.

DAY 3
After breakfast you will checkout before embarking on your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe. On your way we shall pass by Budongo forest and have a forest walk for about an hour. We shall then have lunch from Masindi hotel and continue our journey to Kampala.
